Hi online community, does anybody have read about the special requirements for MFS status to qualify for the EIC this year. I looked for information but I could not find too much. Thank you everybody.

I heard it changed, but IRS hasnt updated their website with it. Im taking my tax update webinars the first week of January, Im waiting for that to start stuffing the new rules in my brain.

It looks to me like those who would qualify for HoH, except they aren't paying more than half the household costs, will still qualify. See Section 9623 of ARP, starting on Page 385. Just off the top of my head.

I must see these special requirements for MFS to qualify for EIC. There is so much fraud already in this area.............
