What state are you dealing with?  Minnesota has it's own "schedule A" to go with the return.  Of course, due to software issues, it doesn't print with the return but we have faith that it will do so by October 15th.

In Wisconsin, if a client does not itemize in Fed return, but does get an itemizing credit on the state side, I have to print the Fed Schedule A to PDF and attach it to WI. A pain, but it works. WI also wants me to print "Wisconsin" on the Sch A. Can't do that and hope its OK with them.

Good to know.  I have a couple of Wisconsin returns coming up in the pipeline.  I wonder if the attachment stuff is Wisconsin's silliness or Intuit's silliness.

Don't think it's been much of an issue until this year with double std deductions. So Intuit doesn't add the Sch A to WI like it does for IL. No one's probably complained. But to get Sch A to print "Wisconsin " on top IS silly.

I'm going to print "South Dakota" on mine ------------------------- just to see if they are paying attention in Wisconsin :smile:

@shyanne#2 As you said, WI actually requires not just a copy of the Federal Sch A but one that has Wisconsin written on the top.  Because of that, tax software would generate a copy that meets that requirement.  Lacerte/PTO do.  Did you try to print the return to a PDF and see whether it's there?
