I have a client that had hypo taxes from his US paycheque that was supposed to go China to help fund his Chinese tax liability. How will I claim a foreign tax credit on his US tax return for the Chinese taxes paid for his Chinese workdays.

Form 1116. You will also need a copy of the Chinese income tax return to obtain taxable income in China and total China tax.
The more I know the more I don’t know.
