It never was excluded from NYS tax in PS. You must be looking at some other state.

It is an adjustment on a current update - maybe 4 days ago. It puts the full amount on line 14 of the IT-201 then subtracts the $ 10,200 on line 16. Line 22e has been added to the other income worksheet.
It did not work this way on Saturday, April 3. The software was including it as income.
I have been watching this closely as I have 2 drawers of incomplete returns with unemployment compensation in NYS.

The software was updated today with the confirmed guidance from NYS. Coding was issued today by NYS.
