HELP --- For 2020 Schedule EIC entries.  If using the 2019 numbers (done on another software) the program will not calculate a EIC Credit Amount.  When I enter the amount manually it blocks the  tax return from being filed stating "cannot override eFILE will be blocked". Lines 7 & 11 on EIC Worksheet...

Thanks!

Is the income too high in 2019 to use for EIC?

If you temporarily adjust the 2020 "Earned Income" (such as adjusting the W-2 income or something) so the "Earned Income" for 2020 matches the 2019 "Earned Income", does it calculate the credit?   In other words, temporarily ignore the "previous year" thing, just adjust the W-2 to see if the credit is calcuated.

If EIC does not calculate, either the taxpayer does not qualify or you are entering something in a way that is telling the software that the taxpayer does not qualify.
