Since many people have already filed their taxes, will IRS automatically reduce the unemployment compensation on these tax returns or do I need to file an amendment for each of them?

I read that the IRS is working on a solution and that we are not to file amendments at this time!

I sure hope we as prepares are not responsible for Contacting each and every client that we have already process and Amend tax returns for them. I do however think they will want an updated copy of the new amounts on the return. So, we get to eat time and supplies for this, it isn't the prepares fault that the government decided to change things in the middle of tax season and it is not the clients fault.
