Recently we have been experiencing a problem after we have received an accepted Federal return. When we go to print the client copy for their package the system is saying, after the approval, that there is an error regarding the EIP and are automatically bringing up a 1040X. We have gone back to check and there should be no error as the taxpayers have been entitled to the their additional amounts after factoring in what they have already received preciously (Stim #1 & Stim #2). Is anyone else experiencing this situation and if so what have you done?

Its a false message, a "bug" that rode on on the update back on the 11th. The tax return didnt change, right? Any return you open now that has RRC to be refunded will pop up with this message.
Just disregard it.

On another note...
The first line of the certification that the taxpayers signs says
"Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined a copy of the income tax return (original or amended) I am now authorizing, and to the best of
my knowledge and belief, it is true, correct, and complete."
It sounds by your question like you are not providing a copy of the return to your client until after they have signed the 8879 and the return has been e-filed.
Your system may be ok...just so much different than what I have seen in the practices I have been around, where the client was provided a copy of the return prior to, or concurrent with the 8879 signing.
Perhaps I misunderstood the wording in your question.

Jeffmcpa2010, I read into it the the same thing. Does the OP give a copy for the client to okay before e-filing it?
