As of now Indiana is not conforming to the Federal Unemployment exclusion. Not sure how or where to add back the amount excluded on Federal Return. Any one else encountering this and how are you handling this? If we add it to line 8 of Add Backs Smart Worksheet will anyone at State know what we are doing? Will attaching a note at this line e-file with return?

I've been entering on Schedule 1 Line 6 Current year conformity (line A8 of Smart Worksheet) same as where the $300 contribution goes This is just for the copies I'm giving to clients because as of now I'm NOT efiling any state returns until Indiana formally announces their position on the unemployment.

But what if they don't announce anything until October 16th? 😶

Minnesota gave a thumbs down to their first pass at following the federal. I'm not going to wait forever for those clowns to decide on their next attempt at the law --------------- whenever that will be. I'm filing now and keeping track of everybody to deal with later if need be.
