I don't receive the error message anymore when i put 5/17 as the date. I was still receiving it as of Tuesday. Does this mean, we can e-file and have direct debit of 5/17. Thanks

They updated the software a couple of days ago but some folks said they were still having issues with NY. But if you aren't getting any error messages, you should be good to go.

Yes, fortunately my client could still handle using a 4/15 date so that one is done now. Otherwise I would still be holding it!
