Now that the filing of federal tax returns is extended until May 17, 2021, I assume that the tax payment is also extended until May 17, 2021 without late payment fee. (similar to last year's extension until October 15, 2020).
When i set up an auto withdrawal for the federal tax due on 5/17/2021, Pro Series still has an error notification that the debit date for tax year 2020 should be between today's date and 4/15/2021.
(1) Is the payment deadline still 4/15/2021 or (2) Pro Series is not updated yet to set up auto debit later than 4/15/2021?
Thank you!

The IRS just announced the change. The software takes a little time to get up to speed.

Thank you for replying. 😃 I'm new to using Pro Series and i appreciate the community for helping everyone especially newbies like me.
I'll wait for the software to be updated then. Some clients want to maximize the deadline date 😃

I have never had actually had any client who allowed the IRS an automatic deduction from their bank account to pay their taxes, so I can't help with this one.
