I have a client that is a widow. Her deceased husband passed in 2019 and is therefore no longer on the 2020 return, however, she has a 2020 1099-R that was issued in his name and ss#. How do I account for this in Pro-Series? Of course, it's throwing an error due to SS# not being on return as a filer.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Thats would go on the 1041 return for his estate. You'll have to apply for an EIN for the estate in order to file this

Your fee would cost them more that the withholding....probably not worth worrying about.
