im working in my client 1099-R. when i put info in state section it says error? my clients 1099-r has $0 in state distribution and $347 in state tax withheld. error message says state withholdings cannot be greater than or equal to gross distribution or state distribution.
If the 1099-r is incorrect , then you may want to contact the client and have the client contact The Entity that issued the form and ask them to correct it... I would not assume anything... just my opinion
