I just noticed that ProSeries is not printing the tax year on Form 8879 and there is no error message. So, for 2020 forms 8879, there is no indication on which tax year is being authorized. Will this be fixed?

Its there, just in a different place....IRS decided they didnt want to have to change it each year, so now theres a line at the top to enter the year...or you can write it up in the corner for better visibility

Or you can just be wild and crazy and not put a date on it -------------------- I heard some wild and crazy guys were going that route.

I know -It's not a big deal but the program should enter the year somewhere on the form. It is not showing up anywhere - not in the upper right corner or on the Part I line. I have many engineer clients and 2 have noted this omission already! Sloppy. ProSeries should fix it.
