The amount calculated is too much for my client to fund by 4/15, so I need to enter a lesser amount. I can't seem to see how to do that without overriding the calculations on Schedule 1.

Cant you just NOT use the box to compute the max and type in what youre contributing? I do that with SEPs all the time when they cant fund the max.

And if they request an extension of time to file, that extends the time for making the 401(k) contribution, too.
