Hi everyone if my client has WA State W2 only, do I have to file federal only nothing about state any other process other than federal forms?

If he was a resident of Washington all year, he does not have to file a state tax return. If he files his federal return with a California address, he'll probably get a letter from the Frantic Attacks Board in a couple years, demanding he pay California tax on it. Maybe he has a cousin whose address he can use. If not in Washington, try Texas or Nevada.

Yes, CA will probably send him a letter in the next year or so, asking him if he has a filing requirement for CA since he filed a 2020 return with a CA address.
