For the last several years, I have forwarded a copy of certain clients tax return or authorization signature forms to them using Pro Series password protected format (SSN/City/Zip Code).  Several times, during various training sessions, I have asked if this method was a safe secure method that meets Gramm-Leach-Bliley act.  I have been assured that it is.  During a security webinar with NATP recently, I was told that they did not believe it was a safe secure method.  

Can I get some feedback on the Community's thoughts.  Legit or not.
