IRS just stated they are excepting 2016 returns for refunds 

How can I e-file

Only 2017, 2018 and 2019 can be electronically filed.  2016 would need to be mailed in.

You need to start up your DeLorean and travel back one year. IRS accepts returns for the current filing year (2019) and two prior years (2017 & 2018)
