Intuit has received my year 2017 form 1120 returns, but IRS has not sent approval or rejection. How do I know if Intuit has submitted the returns to the IRS? It has been over a week.

How do you think you submitted them? Business efile shut down Dec 26.
The more I know the more I don’t know.

Is the business efile shut down because of the government shutdown?

These returns were on extension and because of Hurricane Florence, they are not due until 1/31/19. Can I still use business efile to submit the year 2017 returns?

The shutdown is the annual maintenance shutdown. Does your e-file homebase show the returns as received by Intuit?

Try this link. I believe it states to file by paper for those that were affected by Hurricane Florence.

Does "business" filings mean 1099s and W-2s? Or corporations, partnerships etc.? Also, I need to order a 1099-Div, not sure if the IRS will answer the phone during the govt shut-down?

Business filings open tomorrow, so maybe Intuit is now taking them to hold until tomorrow. There is a good chance you will get a notification tomorrow or the next day.

My suspicion is that the are not being transmitted because the IRS e-file is shut down until later this month.

ProSeries sent me a message that the returns had been received by Intuit.
