When entering a non-resident return for Kansas K-40 it wants another state you paid tax to. This should only be applicable when you are a part-year resident. It won't let me go any further. Thoughts?

I have not done any Kansas non-resident returns. If you are sure that it is not required you might have to contact support as we are just users like you.

I would go to the KS info worksheet to be sure that part-year/non-resident is checked, and then look at the K-40 to see that it matches the worksheet. Although it seldom happens, occasionally the state program won't recognize that the taxpayer is a non-resident, especially a new client. This is assuming you have the residency entered correctly on the Fed info worksheet.
