Everyone has probably seen the alert and/or heard the recording about 2018 1040s. But neither mention whether e-filing a 1041 is possible. Does anyone know? Wait times at PS are an hour.
Thank you.

Arent 1041s considered "business" returns not individual? Seems like they should be able to be filed...did you try to Efile and get it kicked back?

Client is coming in tomorrow but I'd rather know ahead of time if the e-file will go through or to send her to the post office.
And though PS charges you for estates similarly to corps I've heard many times, and know for a fact, how similar 1040 & 1041 are with statutes and regs. So perhaps the extender issue affects estates also. I don't know - that's why I've asked. Thanks. M~

1041 Estates should not be impacted and should e-file without issue
