I am purchasing an additional computer and am able to understand memory and storage sizes but become confused regarding processors. I currently have Intel i7,4 core and it seems to work ok but I would like to upgrade to be ready for future releases of Proseries and maintain fast processing time. I was thinking about 32GB memory, 1TB hard disk, and i7 8700 or i7 9700. I appreciate any input.

Below are the minimum requirements so that is the rock bottom you want to start with. As a side note, a computer never has too much memory so don't be afraid to load up on that feature.

"the i5 or better" from the min requirements means the i7with multiple cores or variations of cores , the i9 with multiple variations of cores, etc, , The upgrades from the i5 are huge, just searching for some input on what is the best after the i5. Thank you so much, thank you for responding.

ProSeries is not a processor-intense program. You can use pretty much anything. The only thing a slow processor will affect is the time it takes to load the program, and slightly affect the time to load the client file.
I have an ancient i3 on an old laptop. It takes a while to start the program, but once it is loaded the data entry is fine.

This topic is over 2 years old. It specifically relates to the 2019 ProSeries. The Googles will be helpful:
