- interface is kind of cool, modernized, minimization look to it
- the updating progress box looks a little different
- when installing or downloading a message came up how it was 32 bit format.. i have a 64 bit win 10 machine but 32 bit message came up
- client labels.. yes, i know they print out properly for some but for others they do not.. they print to the left on a three up format. was supposed to be in this year's program to be able to adjust the labels
- 1040 itself. nice to see it is back to two pages. signatures back on page 2 but the real improvement is no longer having "morphed" results. in other words A minus B = C but on 2018 Form 1040 a number would just appear on the 1040, a mathematical result with the A minus B logic or tracks not on the form.. now there are steps and lines for how a figure was produced. (for example, on 2018 total income to AGI,that step was not laid out on the 1040, now is, at least in summary form.. pulls the Schedule 1 deduction to go from total income to AGI.. still not like 2017 where all those deductions were on the front page of the 1040 but at least 2019 has a line, showing the amount from Schedule 1, instead of just melting it into the AGI figure.
anyone else see any striking things?
word of caution.. i am just using 2019 now to get acclimated with it and do some labels and maybe some depreciation work.. many here caution to transferring all your clients now as in the past that caused some problems when intuit would catch something and updates would not fix the prior transferred clients. i will probably delete transferred clients, at least some of them and re-transfer them at a later date. the business clients i may keep or at least print out the 2019 fixed asset work that i want to get a head start on.

The new layout of Form 1040 is due to the IRS, not Intuit. Give credit, or blame, where it is due.
The more I know the more I don’t know.

My first thoughts, and no, I don't use the 1040s yet, just the Organizers.:
1) Control Y doesn't work, but File Print Options works the same.
2) The Organizers letters do not allow "Print with Organizer." There is no option to do this.
There is a NEW way to Manage Standard Letters inside the Tools Letters menu within the Organizer itself, and that has a NEW "Print with Return Setup" menu to get to Print with Return or Organizer" and another drop down menu, but clicking on Standard Client Letter with Organizer doesn't work.
If it ain't broke, let's break it.
{Edit} When using the NEW Manage Standard Letters sub-menus, adding Letters to Print with Return worked in the 1040 and 1041, but not in the Organizer. I need that fixed now or I have to print them separately(times 427!) and then sort to get them to the right client instead of printing them all at once.
{Edit Second} The letters DO print with the Organizer when you check the box to include letters with the Filing Copy of the Organizer(even though there isn't a Filing Copy of the Organizer). I found this out when I PDF'ed the Organizer and the PDF file name is Smit1234_19o_FC.

How did you get the download. I am all paid up, but it says no download is available yet. But they said November 14.
