I want to make sure the extended return I am filing has the same file number as the extension. I have reason to believe it may have been changed. How can I be sure?
Not sure what you mean by "file" number.....are you looking for the submission number when it was accepted? Look at form 9325, it will have ti on there.
Your extension submission ID number will be different than the submission ID number for the return....so Im still confused what number youre looking for.
