I work for a Tax and Accountancy firm in
Scotland that helps clients file their US returns. We currently use ProSeries
and we're looking at utilising Intuit Link for ProSeries. I've researched the
product quite extensively across the website, but cannot get sufficient
information about one aspect of it: the
uploading of client data directly from the 'financial institutions'. We'd like
to know firstly, what this feature actually is; secondly, who are these
financial institutions and thirdly; who can use the feature? In one entry on
the website it says that the client uploads this information for the agent to
view / collect, but elsewhere on the site it suggests that the agent of the
client can do it directly. Which is true? If we, the agent, can access it
directly, then how is this done and what processes are involved in securing the
necessary permissions from the client (and presumably from the relevant
financial institution too) to do it?

(a) I don't use PS and (b) I have found Link to be a royal pain the patootie (I think that translates into Scottish), but these may help. If not add a comment and I will try to get more info.

And how about this topic, pointing out there is no actual Delete? That function needs to meet your local legal requirements, such as Right to be Forgotten, so make sure it functions as you need it to function.
