Just wonering with the new procedure for refunds by the IRS, why doesn't ProSeries have an error message when a return has a refund and does not have bank account information.
They still send checks, it just takes a few months. Not everyone is willing to have a bank account number.
If no bank accnt. They send taxpayer a letter asking for one. If not provided, they will send check as Lisa said. Just takes a looong time.
Because it's not an error?
And if you need to be reminded that direct deposit is the best option for people who qualify, maybe you should find a less demanding occupation.
I wish the state electronic fund withdrawal box would automatically check (you still need to put in a date) when the federal box has been checked.
