I have a client who purchased a NIssan Rogue. The VIN lookup says the car was built in a country outside the US. The window stiicker says final assmembly in GA. Has anyone had this and how are they handling it?

The IRS doesn't get window stickers but they do get the VIN number so I think you need to follow the VIN. Maybe they put some hubcaps on in GA and that is what they consider final assembly.

The Rogues that are built in the US are assembled in Tennessee. The Port of Brunswick (specifically the Colonel's Island Terminal) is a major hub in Georgia for vehicle imports, recently becoming the top U.S. seaport for automobiles and heavy machinery. It serves major manufacturers like Kia, Hyundai, Mercedes, Nissan, and Volvo. The truck what brung it came from Georgia, so that's what they put on the sticker.
