Clients return rejected stating form 1095A is needed. Well client has health insurance through his employer and received an invoice for another health insurance. He called Healthcare.gov and they said they would fix it. That was over 3 months ago. Well they didn't correct it. So I checked the box on the 1095A screen stating no one had Obamacare (note attached) and resent the return. Rejected again. Why have the option on the 1095A entry page if it doesn't work ?

Has he called them recently to followup? Has he received any paperwork, notices or emails regarding this healthcare on the marketplace at all? Client isn't or wasn't a dependent where they were on parents who were on marketplace?

To bypass this, you need to use the ACA Explanation attachment. Type out a short statement about the situation, scan it and save as a PDF.
Attach it to the return and be sure to choose ACA Explanation as the Description in the attachment window.

On the 1095A screen, I checked the box at the top stating no one had insurance through marketplace. Program generates a statement automatically. Plus I added more info to the generic statement. Now I did not print it and scan it and attach via attach pdf option. I figured the program would send the statement Proseries generated ? Is that not the case ?

Older client, no dependents. Called healthcare.gov months ago as I stated in original post. Has not received any notifications.

If its still rejecting, Id say yes, it needs to be attached.
The attachment window has the ACA Explanation as a choice for attachments (its at the very bottom of the list), so I think it still needs to be done.
