FYI Pro Series pulled the incorrect carryforward credit on the NYS Form IT-212. If a taxpayer payer had a refundable credit the program pulled this credit as an unused credit when transferring from 2023 to 2024 return.

Hi @Paul20,
Were you able to send a file and report this to support? If not, I can collect a file to further research. Let me know.

Pro Series did not fix the error for the 2025 version. It is inconsistent per client.
Advice for all professionals, review the prior return to double check carryforward
information as the carryforward credit is not consistently being carried forward.

Hi @Paul20 thanks for posting in the Community about Form IT 212. We checked on what was reported and fixed and see that it does say that the fix was not retroactive. If the client was transferred before the fix was implemented then it would not fix it going forward. If this is not the case with what you are seeing, we would recommend calling into ProSeries Support to have them take a look with you.
