Hello,
On proseries how are we to allocate overtime made if its not on the W2? Is it on a schedule or do we just enter it?

You'll want to ask for the final checkstub of the year and hope its got the OT Y-T-D figures on it. Then scroll down to Page 2, I think its Part III on the W2 worksheet for the OT entry area.
Ive got a guy that his final stub doesnt have a YTD, so hes grabbing all his weekly stubs that show it and adding them up before bring them to me.

scroll down on the w-2 input and there is a section for OT.
We are going to ask for the final paystub this year. If not on there then yes, they will have to request something from their employer or add up a years' worth of paystubs.
I just had a client who works for the city of new york say they are going to get something from their employer with the ot amounts. I hope so

Keep scrolling down after Tips. OT (Part VII Deductible Overtime) is reported right below Tip reporting. If the W-2 reflects the OT, enter it on line 14d. If it does not reflect on the W-2, enter the 1.5 OT from paystub in box 14c. Some paystubs might reflect only the .5 of OT so keep a lookout of the hourly rate.
