Too early to transfer. Wait until January. If you transfer now you will have all kinds of issues. I personally do not transfer until client makes appointment to do 2025 taxes.

Delete them (hopefully you haven't entered ANY 2025 info yet).
Wait.
Transfer again in January.... and possibly just one at a time as the client info comes in given all the tax law changes. This year is likely to be a rough ride with the software not ready for prime time until well into next year.

Only a couple state programs are ready for download/install. Once theyve been installed, you'll be able to access them for those clients. Right now it looks like only NY and CA are ready.
Its generally better to wait until later in January to transfer clients into the software, each year we seem to find "bugs" in early transferred files, items that failed to transfer along with the return (like descriptions or worksheets), Im still finding clients with asset entry worksheets missing prior depreciation from back in the early 2010s when my ex-boss transferred everyone in December (I inherited his client base).
Personally, I only transfer a clients in once Im ready to start working on their return, keeps Homebase uncluttered when I only have returns that are "in motion" on the screen.

The state returns don’t transfer. They are created/accessed from the federal return. Some of us transfer all clients at once… others individually… just personal preference
