any ideas as to why an accepted return (accepted on 6/25/25) shows up as not received yet by the IRS when requesting a transcript? They even made an electronic payment for tax due with the filing, and the money was pulled when the return was filed.
They can not seem to reach anyone by phone when they call the IRS.. is there another number to try?

You might not have noticed, the federal government has been shut down for more than a week, and meanwhile some of the people at IRS who answer the phones when it is open are being fired and told never to come back.

And, how long ago was it efiled? EDIT: I see you said 6/25/25.
Even when things work, there is a lag between when the efile system data gets transferred/uploaded to the TDS system.
The more I know the more I don’t know.
