I recently submitted my new EFIN and ProSeries approved it. Per Intuit’s instructions, I need to remove my old EFIN from the three most current tax program years and replace it with the new one for any returns that need to be filed or re-filed going forward. However, in the software the EFIN field is greyed out and I can’t change it. The firm preparer information is also greyed out in that section and I can’t update that either. How can I fix this?

From homebase, what if you click on Tools > License Products..

Does that free it up?

It should automatically change when Intuit processes your EFIN application, you cant change it yourself.

If it still doesnt change when you use Tools> License Product, you'll need to call support.

If the EFIN is changed, is acknowledgment information still available for returns filed under the old EFIN?

Probably not, Id be sure to download the EFile History and Acks for all returns prior to changing the EFIN.
