can i efile 2021 federal tax retun using proseries?
If I have to mail a paper return to IRS, do I attached the W2?
Is there any other way to submit other than paper return mailed?

Your only option is to paper file. There are only 3 years open at time that can be e-filed. And yes you need to attach the W-2.
You (or rather, the client...) could hand deliver the paper copy to an IRS office.
You cant Efile a 2021 return with ANY software right now, that window closed back in November 2024
