Hello,
I worked on a trust that owed both federal and state tax. The state tax was taken on 4/15/25, but the federal tax was not taken. The federal should have been taken the same day. I have checked the return, and I selected the option of direct withdrawal. Should I send a check? Should I wait for a notice? I want to stop the late payment and interest. Suggestions?
Thanks
Peter

I have one client with three trusts and all owe federal money. E-filed 4/10 to be withdrawn 4/14.
All accepted, still waiting for the debits.

I just noticed the same thing with my trust clients that were supposed to have auto w/d of extension payments. Proseries is now showing an error in the 7004. Is it possible the error caused an issue with the payment w/d? I am thinking the payment should have been taken out by now.

The 7004 shows an error now becasue we're past the date you have chosen for the payment to be taken.

The error is not related to the date. The error relates to entering the officer name. That error was not there when we efiled.
