For 2024, the "2024 Gift Tax Return" (Form 709) requires a "Notice of Consent" signed by the consenting spouse. However, the 709 program has no such form. It would be a great enhancement to the tax preparer if proseries development team had such a form already in the program. Please consider this suggestion and have it available in the next update. I have been looking for the consent letter with no success. However , the consent letter is in the modify tool, and does not link to the return

Hi, When you open a client choose "Tools". Scroll down and check "edit standard letters"

The "Notice of Consent" is not a letter, it is a statement that must be signed by a consenting spouse to split gifts. Thank you for your help. Pete

The client letter to Form 709 says each spouse should "also sign and enter the date on this Form 709 in the Consenting Spouse's Signature are on line 18 of page 1." I do not see this on the form, I only see Part III line 7 on page 2. "you must attach a Notice of Consent".
I pulled up old 709 forms and don't see it on the old forms either.
