I am preparing a 1040 for the first time. This is a long term client but I have never prepared the 1040 before this year. Turns out, they were using ProSeries to prepare their return. So they sent me their 2023 file. I have that loaded and converted to 2024. I do other returns that feed into their return and have for years. In some instances ProSeries is showing income as due to the Taxpayer and I know it belongs to the spouse. But I can't find a way to change that. I am currently working on Sch B. I tried setting up a new worksheet but that still indicates T and I am unable to change it. With 1099-NECs I was able to delete the old set up and start fresh and in that case indicate the proper source as S instead of T. Any suggestions on how to change the other 1099s? Thanks.

I don't have that. I see that on the picture Lisa posted below your message. I don't have that little letter or the box to change it. Is something set up in the original set up that would automatically make everything T?

Thanks for the photo. Otherwise I would think I am crazy. I don't have that option on that line. Is there something in the original set up that makes everything default to T?

If you click on tools and then select options, do you have the box checked for showing TSJ indicators?
