I am unable to e file 2023 1040. I tried it today (01/27/2025) but it came back with the same error message that IRS and States are not accepting 2023 tax returns as of now. Called Intuit customer service and she said that same will be available on 02/06/2025. However, when I visited www.irs.gov it says that IRS has started accepting 2023 and 2024 1040s effective 01/27/2025. Any help will be highly appreciated. Is anyone else facing the same problem?
Personally, I never send anything on opening day, I want to avoid the clusterfxxx with everyone else jamming them into the system. I dont want my clients tangled up in all that.
