Google says this as maybe: The check you receive at the closing of your workers' compensation claim is the payment of a permanent partial disability award (or PPD award). When you cash that check, it does not settle your claim, and that check is not a settlement award.

Electronic banking done by ACH (automated clearing house) require codes. For example, DDA is Demand Deposit Account, meaning, checks and deposits for checking.
PPD stands for Prearranged Payment and Deposit Entry, which is used for direct deposits and recurring payments.
