Assuming the original federal return was efiled, there is a box on the federal information worksheet indicating that the original return was efiled.

You have to uncheck the CA original EF box and only check the CA Amended EF options (CA is in the drop down list on the Fed Info Worksheet).

When you go out to the EF Center under the Pending returns, do you see the CA amended in the list?
