1099-R had state tax withheld but no state distribution shown. In the past that was not a problem. Now the program indicates an error. Other than over-riding it in order to transmit the return, is there another way to resolve this?
Enter the state distribution equal to the taxable federal amount.
Ive never had an error for a state distribution amount not being completed, I always leave them blank.
I know for Ohio returns, recently ProSeries is requring the state distribution amount in cases when there is state withholding tax withheld.
When there is WH I have always loaded in a distribution amount for MN.
