Same lender, same amount as in they both received the same form or did they each receive the form with half of the amount of debt forgiven?
Same amount same form one in his name one in her name and it is for the full amount of the debit
I would report both 1099Cs on the tax return and then add a line item in other income something to the effect of "duplicate 1099C received" and enter a negative amount for the amount of the 1099C
