My Cx has her State pension listed in box 14 instead of box 12 of the W-2. Her wages vs. SS and Medicare are the exact difference $480. How do I get this to flow to form 8880?

Pension on a W-2 instead of 1099-R?
Box 14 on a W-2 is generally just informational and goes nowhere.
I don't have a F 1099-R handy, but I don't think it has a box 14.
Need clarification...

What type of retirement fund is it? Not all retirement contributions qualify for the Saver's Credit. Generally, mandatory contributions don't qualify.

Step 1. Follow the advice of TaxGuyBill and determine if it qualifies.
Step 2. If it does in fact qualify, then go to Form 8880 and enter the info on the Line 2 Smart Worksheet as an after-tax contribution. While that description in the smart worksheet might not be correct, that entry will put it on Line 2 of the Form 8880, which I believe is what you are trying to accomplish.
Step 3. Again, follow the advice of TaxGuyBill and doubly make sure if it qualifies.
