I have updated ProSeries 2023. Unable to efile 1040.

I had the same problem. I called this morning around 9 am and the problem was so simple. Click on tools- options-firm preparer and double check your PTIN. click on verified your PTIN is correct. BINGO! problem solved. No more errors

I finally closed ProSeries and went to start menu and selected "Tools - Repair Updates" under ProSeries 2023. That fixed the problem.
Very strange that update products in ProSeries would not work....

It may not be enough to 'update installed products', or even update from the Windows start butting. You may need to to hit the 'repair tools update' thing. That worked for me.

I checked the box. Its still not updating. I called customer service after waiting for almost an hour the representative phone disconnected. Now the wait time is over an hour. I'm so frustrated at this moment.

try repairing your update in the Tools hub

Click Update Issues
choose correct year
Click Repair Updates
run this and then my updates started adding......good luck

I now have the same problem. Unable to efile. Says Customer number required which is there on the screen as well as efin number wihich is blank but won't let me add it. I have efiled returns up to today and DID NOT get this message until today. I have been with support on my computer for over 2 hours each person doing all the smae theings you all have tried...thought I'd try and see if anyone can help while I am on hold with PS asI am still dead in the water. HELP.
