I am doing an Estate tax return (Form 706) for a decedent that passed away earlier this year and the return is due mid-November. When I try to use the Proseries 2022 version is errs out when I use the 2023 DOD. Also, the 2022 version won't have the correct 2023 exemption amounts. Can anyone offer some advice on how to get beyond these issues?

File an extension and wait for the 2023 software.
Or get the forms from irs.gov and manually prepare.
The more I know the more I don’t know.
