as long as the laptops are in the office and connected to the network, it will work fine. If the laptop leaves the network or is taken out of the office, they will not be able to open ProSeries.

What Matt said. But the laptops are permitted to load the stand alone version on them. The issue is keeping the files correct as the laptop version will be on the laptop and not on the network.
