Are you asking where to enter the dates? or are you getting an error of some kind?

The easiest way to do it is to paper-file an extension, then wait until the 2023 software is ready in January.

Since this is my exact situation, I'm going to tag on this question.  I know how to fill out the form for the 2023 final short-year return and I know I have to use the 2022 tax forms because 2023 forms are not out yet.  Does anyone know if it can be electronically filed on the 2022 forms or if it has to be paper filed?  One of the partners is in very bad health so they want to get the partnership completely wrapped up and not wait until January 2024 to file the tax return.
