Sometimes exiting the software and then opening it up again takes care of those kinds of issues. If not, try clicking on the homebase tab and select homebase management.

The cause is usually self inflicted…. There are some articles if you put “Clients in home base duplicates ” in the search bar at the top of this page
If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
