I have a client that qualifies for EIC but it showing that she does not qualify due to not being a full time resident on the information return.  She has always lived in Florida and I am not sure what is trigging this.

 

"Your main home is in the US less than 1/2 the year"  is on the EIC Worksheet.  Please advise on what needs to be changed on the information return.  The client has lived in Florida her entire life.

Double check your Federal Information Worksheet - Part IV   EIC Information   boxes to check 

also Double check Part XI be sure it doesn't indicate part year resident
