When I pay to file an extension, do I have to pay again when I file the return for the client? I called customer service twice and each "expert" said I have to pay twice, but I don't think that's correct based on other answers I found online.
I'm weary of the customer service answer since each one of them didn't even know what an extension is and how it's supposed to work.

Fed and state are 2 different charges, but once you pay to print/file an extension, that pays for the whole federal return....so if you didnt pay for the state return already, once you go to print that, you'll have to pay the state fee.

Thanks Lisa. My question was just about Federal. The reps I talked to said I had to pay when I filed the fed extension and then again at return time, which didn't sound right to me.
Intuit really needs to increase its hiring standards.

Has anyone had any luck purchasing the file 100 return package? If so, how were you able to get it? I've been able to purchase it in previous seasons, but this year every Pro Series rep is only quoting me the $5k unlimited filing package. So I'm currently on the pay per return plan.
Thanks in advance.
