Not through the tax software, but you can go directly to the location the PDF resides and open it.

I agree that if the preparer saved the file in a client location, you can just open it there. But what about an instance where the location of the original file is unknown and you need to see what was sent in a previous year?

You are SOL if you didn't save a copy in a paper file or with the pdf of the return.
